How do you create a WorkBuddy task and find its output?

Specify input, action, output and limits.

The short answer

For example, read practice notes and create a task list without changing the original. Keep the title short but make the instructions checkable.

Try it in three steps

  • Sign in yourself, choose New task, and provide practice notes.txt or its practice folder.
  • Specify the task and new tasks.txt output, start it, and review any necessary permission request.
  • Use the documented right-side results/artifacts view to find and open the file; other files may appear under Overview and workspace files.

A practice prompt

Before you start

Practice the documented client path: new task, describe it, start it, then inspect right-side results/artifacts. Sign in yourself and check current docs if the UI changes.

Practice material (fictional)

notes.txt: organize product images Monday; model unconfirmed, do not send externally. Create tasks.txt with actions only and preserve the source.

Replace placeholders in the prompt with this material, or append the material if there are no placeholders. Reading time excludes doing the exercise.

Read notes.txt in the practice folder and create tasks.txt with action items. Leave absent owners and dates blank and preserve the original.

What to look for (not a recorded test result)

Find tasks.txt in artifacts and inspect the Monday task and unresolved model. A chat message saying done is insufficient.

If it goes wrong

If no output appears, check task state and output directory before creating duplicates.

Check your result

The task description maps directly to the resulting file.
