Did the AI actually read the whole file?

A successful upload does not prove every page was read.

The short answer

Scans, complex tables and long files may be missed. Ask what pages and fields are accessible before requesting conclusions.

Try it in three steps

  • Create a three-page practice file with a different marker on each page.
  • Ask it to list the markers without giving the answers.
  • Convert unread pages to text or submit smaller sections.

A practice prompt

Before you start

Create three pages with page breaks in an editor. If necessary, use three small text files instead.

Practice material (fictional)

Page 1: ALPHA, purchasing. Page 2: BRAVO, returns. Page 3: CHARLIE, stocktake.

Replace placeholders in the prompt with this material, or append the material if there are no placeholders. Reading time excludes doing the exercise.

State the readable scope and list each page heading. Mark unreadable content instead of filling gaps.

What to look for (not a recorded test result)

It should locate all three markers and their positions. That checks these samples, not universal full-file reading.

If it goes wrong

If only page one is summarized, test a specified page rather than repeating read everything carefully.

Check your result

It can locate content on later pages and disclose unreadable sections.
