Which step should change first?
Look for frequent work with reasonably clear rules and checkable inputs and outputs. Record who owns it, how long it takes and why rework happens. Identify repeated transfer or checking.
Include subscriptions, staff learning, integrations and maintenance in the cost. A small change that works can be enough; do not add process just to use AI.
Entry and inventory checks
Discuss duplicate entry, scattered stock movement records or manual reconciliation. Confirm business rules and access before choosing existing tools or custom inventory software.
Quantities, documents and movement records must reconcile. Define correction, reversal and activity records. Use software validation for fixed rules and assess AI when unstructured content needs interpretation.
Product information, copy and images
Organize product facts, specifications and reusable assets, then assess AI for drafting copy or preparing images. A responsible person checks prices, specifications and brand wording before publication.
Try one product type or channel. Check source completeness and the amount of editing required. Generation, human review and publication are separate steps with separate checks.
Check the improvement, not just the tool
Compare similar tasks before and after the change for duration, repeated entry and rework while checking correctness. Staff understanding and recovery from mistakes are part of acceptance.
Agree pilot scope and cost first, then expand only if results justify it. Existing tools such as WorkBuddy can be a starting point. Agree custom development, training and maintenance separately.
Inventory and content workflow experience
These projects illustrate different workflows. Each case distinguishes role, delivery status and validation scope; generating content does not establish automated publication.
Independently developed and delivered an inventory system for a large B2B sanitaryware manufacturer, covering requirements, workflow analysis and implementation.
Led a carton-based barcode inventory system, designing receiving, transfers and dispatch with permissions, duplicate-submission handling and correction flows.
Led a content workbench for furnishing fabrics, organizing product facts, style settings, editing and human review while validating model output, account connection and export separately.
Questions before starting
Does efficiency require AI?
No. Forms, validation or conventional software may fit fixed rules better. Choose the approach for the business task first.
Can you promise a specific saving?
Assess your actual tasks in a pilot. Agree comparison measures, then record correctness, duration and maintenance cost before claiming improvement.
