Context

Carton-based stock across locations needed connected receiving, transfer, dispatch and correction flows, without duplicate entries on retries.

My role

I led requirements and workflow design, used AI-assisted development, and handled testing and maintenance.

Work delivered

Implemented carton scanning, receiving, transfers, dispatch and reversals, with identity checks, duplicate-request handling and insufficient-stock checks.

Approach

Checked the full inventory sequence, then duplicate requests, insufficient stock and cancelled-request retries. Transfers cross-check both locations and total stock; corrections link to the original document.

One inventory sequence

Quantities below follow the acceptance sequence dated September 8, 2026. The recorded final result is 3 cartons in A, 4 in B and 7 in total.

OperationLocation ALocation BTotal
Receive 10 cartons10010
Transfer 4 cartons6410
Dispatch 3 cartons347

The cloud record also confirms that four concurrent identical requests do not double-count, insufficient stock is rejected and a cancelled request cannot commit. This is historical virtual-test evidence, not a new system test.

Delivery & feedback

Delivered to the client, covering barcode receiving, transfers, dispatch and corrections. The technical section describes the implementation.

Technical approach

  • TypeScript
  • React
  • Vite
  • Cloudflare Workers
  • D1 / SQLite
  • Playwright

Carton scanning connects receiving, transfers and dispatch, with duplicate handling, quantity checks and reversal flows.

Implementation flow

  1. Scan & act

    React input and confirmation

  2. Validate operation

    Workers handle duplicate requests

  3. Update inventory

    D1 / SQLite quantity checks

  4. Correct & replay

    Reversals and test verification

Validation scope

Local and cloud records cover the stock sequence, duplicate requests and insufficient stock. The table above provides quantities and test provenance.
